New publication “Urology” available from march
Heilbronn/Germany, 21.01.2013. “Urology” – the new handbook for urologists is being published by Level 10 (Heilbronn) in March 2013. The book provides a concise and practice-oriented overview of the latest methods employed in shock wave therapy treatment in
urological practice. Shock wave therapy has been used to treat kidney and bladder stones since 1980. The group of authors – all of them doctors and experts in the field of shock waves – present the most important fields of application for extracorporeal shock wave therapy. With their vast experience they are also able to guide the reader through the book providing valuable information on the correct use of a form of therapy which is being adopted in ever more practices.
New therapy field for shock waves: erectile dysfunction
A completely new and interesting field for shock waves is using them to treat erectile dysfunction. Two full chapters of the book have been devoted to this topic. Other topics include treating Peyronie’s disease, chronic pelvic floor syndrome, bacterial prostate infection and interstitial cystitis.
